Departments can utilize "Department Use" fields in SIRI to customize their account reporting with department-specific attributes or tags, enabling more tailored reporting.
Navigate to SIRI's Financial Dashboards and locate the "Chart of Accounts -- Department Use Template" report under Money > Reports (Figure 1).

Apply any desired filters, run the report, then export it to Excel.
Update only the yellow-highlighted columns labeled "Department Use 1-5" with text or numeric entries (up to 50 characters each). Importantly, don't modify any other columns (Figure 2).

Email the completed Excel template to ub-stateaccounting@buffalo.edu, and Financial Management will upload the updates to SIRI within 1-3 business days.
Once processed, users can view these custom Department Use fields in SIRI Money by right-clicking account headers and selecting "Include Column" (Figure 3).
