DeepCover Game Helps Seniors Fight Scams and Unreliable Information

The recently quoted in an article explaining how older Americans are increasingly being targeted by unreliable information and scams, especially regarding health and finances.

 

The article details how people fall for false medical claims, such as miracle cures or unproven treatments, while others are tricked into giving away money through fraudulent schemes. Even those who don't use social media much are exposed to misleading information through emails, texts, TV, and word-of-mouth.

To combat this misinformation, organizations like , which began life as a CII project, are developing tools to educate and protect seniors. One such effort is , DART’s mobile game that is designed to teach online safety in a fun and engaging way.
