    UB and Kaleida have partnered to build a facility that houses the CTRC and the Gates Vascular Institute. This state of the art center places clinicians adjacent to clinical and translational researchers and is one of only a handful of such buildings in the nation.  The UB portion of the building features numerous sustainable building strategies, qualifying it for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification.

    Some of the components of the CTRC include (but aren't limited to): administrative offices, Clinical Research Center (CRC), state of the art laboratories and support space, nine examination rooms for human subjects, state of the art animal research facility, biorepository and specimen processing laboratory, imaging facility devoted exclusively to research, state of the art informatics hardware for data management and sharing, biosciences incubator.
