Pre-College Programs

CPMC pre-college programs assist high school students in the City of Buffalo fulfill their academic potential by connecting them with the resources and experiences to succeed.
Access to College Excellence (ACE): Provides support services to students during their transition to college and throughout their first two years of study at UB.
Daniel Acker Scholars Program: A community of academically talented, diverse students who demonstrate strong leadership potential and commitment to community service.
Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP): Supports talented economically disadvantaged students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), licensed professions, and health-related professions.
Educational Opportunity Program (EOP): Provides an avenue for admission and support for students who have demonstrated potential to succeed in spite of educational or economic barriers.
McNair Scholars Program: Prepares eligible undergraduates from all disciplines to pursue their PhD.
Student Support Services (SSS): Coordinate comprehensive support services for first-generation, low-income students and students with documented disabilities.
Pre-College Programs
Liberty Partnerships Program: Provides academic, cultural, social and emotional learning opportunities to students in grades 5-12 at our Buffalo area partner schools.
Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP): Prepares students in grades 7 to 12 who are economically disadvantaged for entry into college and improves their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields and the licensed professions.
Upward Bound Program: Encourage and supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to improve their performance and motivation to pursue post-secondary education.
