UB students join forces with community members to make the neighborhoods a bit brighter as part of UB Community Day.
UB hosts service days twice each year to help clean up neighborhoods and assist local agencies with service projects. Community Day takes place in the Fall semester. These projects benefit the community, foster better relationships with residents, and show students the value of getting involved in neighborhood organizations.
During this day of service, student volunteers work hand in hand with neighborhood residents at sites around the Downtown and South campuses. Past projects include painting, preparing community gardens and neighborhood flower beds, removing graffiti and general cleanup tasks. Community Day is a chance for the university community to give back to the city it loves and to demonstrate UB’s commitment to the neighborhoods around its campuses.
UB Community Day is held in the fall. UB's Pride & Service Day is held in the spring.
Time: 9am-1pm
