Submitting a Live Session Training Roster

Live EDI Department Training Sessions

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) offers a combined live Title VI, Sexual Harassment Prevention, and Accommodations & Accessibility training for the university. This live training provides an alternative to online modules and allows employees to receive credit for both mandatory trainings—Title VI and Sexual Harassment Prevention - in a single session. The session also includes the optional Accommodations & Accessibility information.

In most cases, UB employees can choose to attend one of the mandatory training sessions webinars that are scheduled for the entire university. In limited circumstances, it may be appropriate for EDI to conduct a departmental compliance training. These include the following:

  1. Departments with employees who do not have regular computer access as part of their job duties
  2. Departments with over 100 attendees
  3. Orientation sessions for new employees or students
  4. Departments with other unique needs or special circumstances; please contact EDI to discuss whether a live session is appropriate as an alternative to the scheduled university-wide sessions.

Tracking Attendance

For departments participating in a live EDI-led training session, it is essential to track attendance accurately. Please record the following information for each participant:

  • Person number
  • Full name
  • Date of training completion

To support this process, EDI can provide a pre-populated roster for your department, school, or area upon request. This roster will be sent in advance of the training session to streamline attendance tracking and ensure accurate reporting.

Important: Please return the completed roster in its original Excel format. Handwritten or scanned versions will not be accepted and will be returned.
