Kick off the fall semester with fun activities to welcome our new and returning students on campus. Get to know how to be involved on campus and participate in games, music, and food. You don't want to miss it!
8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Goodyear Hall, South Campus
The Festival of Culture Uniting Students (FOCUS) kicks off with a student-led parade from Hayes Hall (South Campus) at 8:00 p.m.; followed by a party at Goodyear Hall featuring:
- DJ dance party
- Games
- International food from local restaurants
- All students are welcome to attend!
8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. UB Stadium
Attend the official welcome for the incoming class of 2024, featuring the creation of the traditional human interlocking logo. This is an outdoor event; please bring a water bottle and limited personal items (e.g., backpacks). Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with pre-show entertainment and giveaways; plan to arrive by 7:45 p.m. This event is for new students only.
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Student Union - Field/Roadways
Don’t miss this street party meets involvement fair! This is UB’s largest student organization tabling event of the year! Meet with over 150 clubs/orgs, dunk an orientation leader (OL), play on inflatables, or grab a snack from a food truck during this event.

Celebrating the start of the new academic year with fireworks and entertainment. A live DJ kicks-off this free event under the stars.
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. Student Union Field
