About Asal "Vox" Gibson
Asal “Vox” Gibson, BA '11, MA '13, is the founder and CEO of CyRoot Corporation, an IT and cybersecurity consulting firm, the President of the Board of Directors at CyRoot Academy, and the Honorary Commander of the 489th Attack Squadron at Creech Air Force Base. A seasoned leader in information technology, Vox has managed over $100 million in cybersecurity projects and currently leads the cybersecurity program for the Clark County School District (CCSD) in Nevada.

In addition to her leadership roles, Vox serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where she teaches courses in cybersecurity and technical project management while mentoring the next generation of IT and cybersecurity professionals. She has guided over 600 students in building their technical skills and confidence for the cybersecurity workforce.

Vox’s career includes consulting for major companies like Airbnb’s Risk Management Team and MGM Resorts International, as well as corporate cybersecurity training through ThriveDX. She also holds an Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the U.S. Department of Defense, a testament to her expertise and trustworthiness in handling sensitive and classified information.

Vox is a member of the AI and Cybersecurity Committee at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of directors for Help R Heroes, showcasing her commitment to both innovation and community impact.
