Lead Stories used the “Deep Fake-O-Meter” developed by Lyu and his team to debunk a rumor that the crowd at a Wisconsin rally for the Kamala Harris campaign was created using CGI and in another story about a similar rumor regarding the crowd at Harris’ Detroit rally.

Yahoo! News quoted Siwei Lyu in a report on an AI-generated video of Taylor Swift criticizing supporters of the powerful Duterte family of the Philippines.
